Emily Humphries holds a BA in English from the University of Tennessee and obtained her Rank II in English Education from Austin Peay State University. She is certified in grades 7-12, Language Arts.

Mrs. Humphries has taught AP English, Speech, Drama, and Journalism for a total of 23 years at Hopkinsville High, Bowling Green High, and Caldwell County High. She has worked for the KY New Era Newspapers in Education program and in book editing for the University of Tennessee Press.
She is married to John, who is the Princeton Electric System manager. They have two children, Caroline and Ben, and three grandchildren.
