Of the many ways in which a student experiences the world, perhaps one of the most meaningful is through serving. The stories of our faith tell us that we must serve one another if we desire to know God. They tell us that in serving we are given the opportunity to see through God’s eyes. The goal of service is to develop, in each student, the art of recognizing, comprehending, and caring for the needs of others. Service to others seeks to develop in students the habit of seeing the world they live in as God sees it and to become God’s hands, God’s feet, and God’s heart.
If a brother or sister has nothing to wear and has no food for the day, and one of you says to them, "Go in peace, keep warm, and eat well," but you do not give them the necessities of the body, what good is [your faith]?" - James 2:15-17
